“The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)…are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.” United Nations Development Programme

Research has consistently shown that sustainable corporate development is not just good for society it can also be good for the bottom line. Many organizations get this, but question how best to align SDGs with their traditional business goals – generating profits and creating shareholder value.

The key is to build SDGs into the organization’s regular reporting processes – as encouraged by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

A new practical and accessible report from the Council and the ICAS sets out an approach that uses the Integrated Reporting framework to support a business’s commitment to environmental sustainability by ensuring SDGs become an integral part of its value creation.
